Switch Windows users with a simple keyboard shortcut - drakeimensid
Earlier this year I wrote about a accessible freeware utility named Fast User Switch.
True to its name, the tool immediately takes you to the user-selection screen, thus saving you from the standard user-switching process ofclicking Start , then the pointer next to Shut Down, and past Switch user .
At the time I bemoaned the lack of a keyboard shortcut for this option, simply it turns proscribed thither is one—sort of.
Arsenic lecturer Noah and a couple of others pointed out, you canful accomplish much the assonant thing past pressing Windows-L (i.e. hold down the Windows key and tap L). That actually takes you to the Lock chamber screen, where you can then click Switch Users. (This works in Windows 8 as well.)
So it's not quite an as aboveboard as Fast User Switch, but IT does get you to the equal place—and spare you a click operating theater two on the way.
Alternately, you can press Ctrl-Alt-Del, then click Switch User. Can't consider I forgot that ace.
As forever, if you know of any killer keyboard shortcuts, share 'em in the comments!
